As I am using a tablet and start each time with a cleared cache. The following message should not apply.

Hallo Andrew, It's not a bug, just a suggestion. Could you set the focus or whatever in the 'Solution Count' popup, so that it closes just by hitting 'enter', without having to (1) select the 'close' button, then (2) hit enter?

Why aren't you giving yesterday's Str8ts solutions anymore? On the Daily Str8ts page, you give solutions for one of the puzzles that day, but not the other.

Hello,

I would like to clarify several points on Exotic Links as I keep having issues with incorrect deletions.

1) Are they applicable to continuous loops?
2) Are they applicable to forcing chains?
3) Can deletions be made to *any* candidates in the "rectangle" that makes up the Exotic Link?

I am leaning towards "no" being the answer to all three questions ....

1) Yes. Should be examples.
2) Yes.
3) No. Always a good idea to distinguish between the candidates that make up a pattern and the candidates for elimination. So don't remove any that are necessary for the link. The exception is of course the ends of the chains for discontinuities.

Using the keyboard input on my computer. If I pause, but do not dismiss pop up resume box, the timer remains frozen. Timer does not restart while entering pencil marks or cell numbers.

Hi Andrew. I LOVE the new number pad input feature on the daily str8ts! I wish all the puzzles had that. I have always appreciated it on the Killer.
Just so you know, the pause on the timer function isn't actually pausing on that puzzle now. It says it is, but continues to count. Of course that does not interfere with actually doing the puzzle, just thought you'd want to know. Thanks

Thank you for your daily str8ts!
But Daily Mini Str8ts in Firefox is messed up. The button "Moderate" doesn't work anymore, maybe because the button "Undo" sits right on top of it.

Should be working, not changed that player yet, or intend to. I've restored a slightly older version just in case. I can put in large and small. When small the notes button is highlighted. That's right no?

Your KenKen program has lost the ability to do basic maths. None of the grouped cells are giving the the correct total value. I.e., for a group of three cells with a value of 14+, the program has identified the numbers 1, 5, and 4. I know 1 + 5 + 4 = 10. All other grouped cells are also giving strange results. KenKen Puzzle taken from the Sydney Morning Herald dated 6 June 2024. I thought there was a problem when the Grader told me it needed to think about it. So I guess there are two issues. The grader not working and grouped cells giving incorrect results. Looks like you need to go back a version to fix the problem.

Found the problem. Trying to bring into common some code across all the solvers. Kenken one had a single array x and y swapped round. Version 2.17b now, refresh and try that
