I am trying to print off todays daily sudoku on a computer and it is not formatting correctly. It looks as though it may have been formatted for a phone or ipad. I also tried ones from last week that formatted OK when I printed them off last week but now are scrunched. The Killer doesn't seem to be affected and formats correctly!

Andrew Stuart writes:
I figured it out. I was testing the [Print] button on the player
I forgot there is a print link at the top of the page. Working now

How do I print The Sudoku Solve Path dark enough to read/?

Andrew Stuart writes:
Taking about the output file?
That's a good point, not tested it for printing. I see it needed some "@media print" CSS

As of today (2024-07-08) your KenKen program does not enter any numbers at all, neither the given nor the possible ones. The only time any numbers are filled in is using the Step function, but all you get are the one single answer number. The whole thing is pretty useless at this time.

Andrew Stuart writes:
My apologies, it was so obvious. Can't see the wood for the trees sometimes
White digits! Seems the page was working in "quirks mode". I've fixed it up now
I do intend to give the 6x6 solvers some love very soon. Quite old code in there and almost finished with the 9x9s now

[CRTL]+[F5] to refresh if it doesn’t work automatically

https://www.str8ts.com/Main_Page and https://www.str8ts.com/daily_str8ts I believe are supposed to show the same two puzzles but the second page often only shows one puzzle. I think later in the day it often shows the second puzzle. Not sure if this is intentional.

Andrew Stuart writes:
The Daily Str8ts page has only the main symmetrical Str8ts puzzle. The Main Page has two puzzles. Both invoke the same player with the same parameters so they must be the same. Write to me if you see a difference and I'll investigate.

Hi! Great solver here but I recently started playing a slightly different version of Killer Sudoku where the number within each 3x3 square don’t have to add up to 45…only the rows do. For example, R1C1 and R2C3 could have the same # even if they are in that same top left grid. Would be great if there was a way to solve these types too.

Andrew Stuart writes:
That reminds me of KenKen but with the difference that all the operators are addition. That is a valid but unusual setup for KenKen but it doesn’t use the 3x3 boxes.

In the solver, trying to edit candidates leads to an x/y NaN, which makes the solver unuseable. Chrome 126.0

Thanks! Should be fixed now

Just found your solver. I absolutely appreciate the step-by-step solving so I can actually learn how to get better instead of simply looking op a solution. So just thanks!

Fantastic and thanks for the feedback!

Is it my finger trouble, or have you stopped supplying strong link data on simple colouring checks?

Andrew Stuart writes:
Fixed now, refresh. Yes something I was fixing yesterday caused me to delete something I shouldn't have. There's a reason I don't work on nuclear reactor code ;)

I was working on your December 2023 Puzzle Pack No. 19, got stuck, so put what I had into your Solver. The Solver proceeded normally then it got stuck (read "wait") and stayed that way. Is this one unsolvable? BTW, I enjoy your puzzles and Solver very much.

Thanks.

Rex

Just give it a moment and refresh. I'm trying to track down the source of crashes. I get an alert but very little information. I think it is to do with simultaneous users or just being too busy in that moment. But it self-recovers.
